he Dolphin Swimming League season five was concluded today with stakeholders calling on corporate organizations to support organizers in taking the initiative to the next level.
Nigeria’s number one schools swimming tournament has produced swimmers that are competing at national and international championships, organizers hope to provide further exposure and opportunity for discovered talents.
Grange School, Ikeja hosted the grand finale of the Dolphin Swimming League as the fifth season climaxed with the usual excitement experienced in the previous legs of the Inter-Schools Competition competition.
While providing participating schools and clubs the platform to develop the children, the highly competitive league also create opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and build competitive skills.
Some of the participants have competed at national, continental and global events, the focus of the organizers is to raise athletes will be developed to compete for Nigeria at the Olympics and World Championships.
While lauding the exposure provided through the initiative, stakeholders seek more support for the league to generate greater attention for the development of the sport and opportunity for students who are competing in the tournament.
The final leg held on Saturday marked the end of competitive events for this year’s edition.. Tournament Coordinator, Oluseyi Oyebode reaffirmed the commitment of the organizers in sustaining the league and enhance the competition for the benefit of the country.
Awards ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge outstanding students, officials and individuals who contributed to the success of the league will hold at a yet to be announced date.
