The Federal Government cannot allocate all of its resources to satisfy the N250,000 minimum wage demand, the Presidency stated on Sunday, citing the unsustainable nature of organized labor’s protest.
Following an increase in proposals to N62,000 by the government and the Organized Private Sector, negotiations between the Federal Government and Organized Labour broke down on Tuesday, May 28.
The Labour unions deemed the plan as an insult to the intelligence of the typical Nigerian worker, who is entitled to considerably more than what the government is proposing.
