According to Chief Oludare Adekolu, National Chairman of the Association of Greenfield Rice Producers, Marketers, and Entrepreneurs, Nigeria can produce significantly more rice than what is now produced, provided that real producers receive sufficient assistance.
The CEO of Igbemo Rice Processing Company Limited, Adekolu, stated that his organization, which has branches across Nigeria, connects rice investors, farmers, millers, processors, and marketers with the right people to increase rice output.
The organization is connecting rice farmers with “like-minded entrepreneurs, government ministries and agencies, equipment and input companies, financial institutions, etc. to fast-track the necessary assistance required to develop and expand their businesses,” according to a statement released by the AGRIPMENT National Chairman on Friday in Ado Ekiti.
