FG is Ready to Maximize Natural Resources

In light of an enlarged conference between security service heads and the Presidential interministerial committee, the Federal Government has stepped up its measures to safeguard the country’s natural resources.

The security chiefs and the interministerial committee met on Thursday in Abuja, with the committee being led by Solid Minerals Development Minister Dele Alake.

An inter-ministerial committee was formed by President Bola Tinubu during the most recent Federal Executive Council meeting to develop a plan for safeguarding the nation’s natural resources, which include its forests, solid minerals, and marine economy.

Highlighting the meeting, Alake revealed that the committee’s follow-up meeting with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and service chiefs was to gather feedback for creating a practical plan to secure Nigeria’s natural resources following the presidential mandate.
