New initiatives to tackle food insecurity and malnutrition in Nigeria were authorized by the National Council on Nutrition on Tuesday.
This came after Vice President Kashim Shettima presided over the council meeting at the State House in Abuja.
One of the authorized actions is the creation of a national nutrition dashboard, which will be posted on the NCN website and managed by the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The Federal Government stated that the tool is intended to improve national oversight and coordination of nutrition-related efforts.
Shettima urged all parties ministries, departments, agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders to participate actively and proactively.
