All higher education institutions in the nation have been ordered by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to provide the names of all applicants they unlawfully accepted before 2017 within a month, failing which they run the danger of being recognised and forgiven.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the board’s advisor for public communication, revealed this to reporters on Sunday at the board’s Abuja offices.
According to Benjamin, the board decided that it would no longer permit schools to accept unlawful admissions under the “Condonment of Illegal Admissions” window if they did not provide a registration number.
“Only those below 16 years will not and should not be admitted following the decision of the 2024 Policy meeting,” he said.
