The organization has refuted a social media rumor claiming that National Youth Service Corps members’ bank accounts are being modified to reflect the N70,000 new national minimum salary.
The Corps stated that it had not received any order from the appropriate authorities to begin paying Corps members the N70,000 minimum wage or to update their accounts.
The NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, released a statement on Saturday that called the claim completely incorrect and misleading.
The NYSC, therefore, advised corps members to desist from allowing mischief makers set to mislead Nigerians to continue to play on their intelligence.
