The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has donated N20 million to the Jigawa government to support the state’s relief efforts for residents affected by the recent flood disaster.
Badaru donated when he visited the Jigawa Governor to commiserate on the flood that ravaged the state and resulted in the loss of lives and properties.
This is contained in a statement by the Director, of Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Defence, Mr Henshaw Ogubike, on Sunday in Abuja.
According to Ogbuike, Badaru expressed his sympathy over the severe flooding incident, which also led to the destruction of farmlands across the state.
