The Super Eagles’ roster for the September 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) doubleheader against Benin and Libya will be announced tomorrow, August 28, barring some last-minute maneuvering.
On September 7, the Super Eagles will face The Cheetahs of Benin Republic in Uyo for Matchday One. On September 10, they will travel to Kigali for Matchday 2 action against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
Investigations conducted within the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ranks have revealed that Austin Eguavoen, the “long-suffering” Technical Director coach, is anticipated to oversee the Super Eagles’ first two 2025 AFCON matches. Rumour has it that the newly appointed coach, Jan Olof “Janne” Andersson, a Swede who coached Sweden in the past, is still working with a media company until mid-September.
