President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been called by the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International-Nigeria (FGBMFI-NG) to take immediate action to assist farmers in returning to their fields to address the nation’s growing food insecurity.
Arc Ifeanyi Odedo, the National President of FGBMFI-NG, made the announcement yesterday during the pre-convention briefing for the Fellowship’s 2024 Abuja National Convention, which is scheduled to take place in Abuja from September 5 to September 7, 2024.
“We continue to express concern over the challenge of food insecurity in Nigeria which is largely engendered by the spate of kidnappings and banditry across the country.
“We believe that a concerted action to curb these ugly menaces, as Mr President is directing would enable farmers to go back to their farms, thereby alleviating the present hardship, restoring peace in the land, and no small measure reviving our nation’s economy,” Odedo said.
