NSCDC Arrests 7 People in Ondo for Robbery and Illegal Mining

Seven people were detained by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) agents in Ondo State on suspicion of engaging in theft, armed robbery, and illicit mining.

The NSCDC spokesperson, Daniel Aidamenbor, said on Tuesday that the arrests came after a thorough intelligence operation aimed at the suspects’ illegal activities.

Galadima Umaru (age 25) from Sokoto, Ibrahim Haruna (age 25) from Katsina, and Ibrahim Jubril (age 20) from Kaduna are among the suspects.

Due to illicit mining, these three were taken into custody in the Odigbo Local Government Area’s Ogunlepa Famakinwa village.
