Vehicle mobility will be restricted on Saturday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to the Kogi government.
The decision was made to guarantee a smooth council election in the state, according to a statement released in Lokoja on Friday by Kingsley Fanwo, the Commissioner for Information.
Additionally, the decision aims to ensure the safety of voters and residents in each of the state’s 21 LGAs.
He stated that the state administration had already instructed security forces to uphold the law for the benefit of the populace and to make sure that violators were held accountable.
The commissioner called on citizens to come out in force to participate in the local government elections to elect their representatives in the local government areas.
