President Tinubu Limits Official Vehicles Of Ministers To 3 In Convoy

The Federal Government’s Heads of Agencies, Ministers, and Ministers of State are only allowed to have three cars in their official convoys, per President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive.

The move he said is part of the Federal government’s effort to cut the cost of governance in view of the prevailing realities.

Tinubu ordered in January that in order to save government spending, the number of officials traveling abroad should be reduced from fifty to twenty, and for domestic travel, to twenty-five.
officials.

In a similar vein, he cut the vice president’s entourage to 15 personnel for domestic travel and just five for international travel.

President Tinubu also “ordered all ministers, ministers of state, and heads of agencies to have at most five security personnel attached to them” in the directive that was released today.

Four police officers and one Department of State Services (DSS) officer will make up the security squad. “No more security guards will be deployed,” he commanded.
