Charles Oluomo, often known as Agbako, was a veteran Nollywood actor who was only four months away from turning 102 when he was reported deceased.
According to reports, the actor, whose life lasted more than a century and made a lasting impression on the nation’s cultural legacy, died in his sleep on Thursday.
Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), informed fellow actors and fans of Nollywood films throughout the world about the veteran actor’s passing.
Amusan added that burial details for the actor will be announced soon by his family and association, just as he seeks prayers from Nigerians for the family.
The announcement from The TAMPAN president has thrown the Nigerian film industry and Yoruba cultural scene into mourning over the passing of the veteran actor.
