The National Agency for Food Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized counterfeit wines valued at ₦41.2m following in Nasarawa State.
The agency claims that the confiscation came during a raid on stores in several regions of the state.

“In Nasarawa State, NAFDAC carried out a significant raid on wine stores in Masaka, New Nyanya, and Mararaba Market. Products worth over ₦41.2 million were seized as a consequence of the operation, which targeted fake and tainted wines and spirits, the agency said in a statement posted on its X account on Monday.
The importers or makers of these fake beverages are the subject of an ongoing investigation by NAFDAC’s Investigation & Enforcement team. Customers are urged by NAFDAC to exercise caution and report any questionable items to the NAFDAC office that is closest to them so that prompt action may be taken.
