A Road Traffic Crash (RTC) occurred in the early hours of today, Wednesday 18 December, 2024 on the Kara bridge, after Berger bus stop on the Ibadan bound carriage way of the Lagos-Ibadan Corridor. The RTC involved a fallen Container laden Trailer and this has narrowed the lanes causing a standstill traffic situation on the outward Lagos section of the expressways. It is gradually beginning to affect the other section as well, as some impatient drivers have chosen to drive against the flow of traffic on the Lagos bound carriage way.
Motorists are advised not to panic as professionals are being contacted to take care of the situation and the necessary equipment being mobilised for the necessary recovery operations.
While FRSC , Police, LASTMA and other traffic agencies are doing their best to remove the obstructions, People who have time-bound activities may explore alternative routes and for those who can postpone their trips, let us endeavor to do so while the situation gets controlled.
