Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Oladipupo Oluwaloni as the Acting Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
This decision comes after the prolonged absence of the substantive chairman, Mrs. Bolatito Shobowale, who has been away on medical leave for over six months.
In an official letter from the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, Bolaji Kayode-Roberts, the governor instructed Oluwaloni to take office immediately to ensure the continued smooth operation of the council.
The transition was facilitated with the support of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.
This move is aimed at ensuring administrative stability and effective governance at the grassroots level.
Reacting to his appointment, Oluwaloni expressed sincere gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the party leadership for their confidence in him. He committed to serving the people of Ayobo-Ipaja with dedication and ensuring the continuity of governance.
“I am honored to be given this responsibility and am fully committed to fulfilling the trust placed in me. My focus will be on ensuring effective governance that responds to the needs of the community and aligns with the developmental goals of our state,” he stated.
Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the appointment, expressing optimism that the new leadership will bring stability and progress to the LCDA.
