Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon, marking the beginning of Shawwal 1446 and signaling the end of Ramadan.

As a result, Eid Al-Fitr 1446/2025 will be celebrated in the Kingdom on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
With this announcement, all eyes now turn to Nigeria, where His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, is expected to officially announce the date for the country’s Eid celebrations.
Muslims across Nigeria are eagerly awaiting the Sultan’s decision, which will determine whether the country will join Saudi Arabia in celebrating Eid on Sunday or observe the holiday on a different day.
