The Federal Road Safety Corps Mosimi Unit Command conducted the rescue operation on the Ikorodu-Sagamu road, following the crash that occurred on Saturday, April 5, around 4:00 PM.
A total of 22 people were involved in the crash, with four injured and 18 killed, including one of the FRSC rescue officers who was also a victim.
The accident occurred when the first two vehicles collided, and while the FRSC rescue team was assisting the victims, another vehicle crashed into them due to brake failure.
The injured were taken to Dasochris Hospital in Gbaga, while the deceased were taken to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH).
The Sector Commander expressed deep concern over the recklessness of drivers, linking the numerous crashes to excessive speed and brake failure.
