The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced April 24, 2025, as the new date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) nationwide.
An official statement released on Saturday by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Public Communication Advisor to JAMB, announced a revised date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Originally slated to begin on Friday, April 25, the exam will now commence a day earlier, on Thursday, April 24, 2025. According to the board, the adjustment was necessary due to “essential commitments by the Board and its partner agencies.”
As part of its preparations, JAMB has activated its online portal for candidates to print their 2025 UTME Examination Notification Slips. These slips contain crucial information such as the candidate’s exam date, venue, and time.
“All candidates registered for the 2025 UTME, which begins on Thursday, April 24, are advised to print their notification slips ahead of their examination date,” the statement noted.
To access the slip, candidates should visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing,” input their registration number, and proceed to print.
JAMB also urged candidates to familiarise themselves with their exam centres beforehand to avoid confusion or delays on the examination day.
The Board further emphasized its strict policy on exam locations. Candidates are to sit for the UTME only within the towns they selected during registration. Any attempt to take the exam outside the assigned town or centre will not be allowed under any circumstance.
“Candidates will be assigned to centres within their selected examination towns. No candidate will be permitted to sit for the UTME outside of their chosen location,” the statement stressed.
