The Federal Government has approved the launch of the NIN Authentication Service (NINAuth), for secure and seamless identity verification across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
A statement by NIMC’s head of Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke indicates that President Bola Tinubu has directed that all government services adopt the _NINAuth_ platform as part of efforts to strengthen the National Identity Management System under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Developed by the National Identity Management Commission, _NINAuth_ offers web, API, and mobile access for real-time identity verification.
The statement adds that it introduces advanced security features, protects user privacy, and allows individuals to manage how their data is shared.
Adegoke says the service will be used for processes including SIM registration, passport applications, tax filings, driver’s license renewals, and access to intervention programs. _NINAuth_, he says, is now the exclusive platform for NIN-based verifications and authentication across MDAs.
Nigerians are advised to download the _NINAuth_ app on their smart phones, with implementation guidelines available at http://ninauth.nimc.gov.ng.
