NAHCO signs contracts with Royal Air Maroc, Kenya Airways, others

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc, a provider of aviation ground services in Nigeria, has announced the signing of contracts with five airlines, comprising both local and international carriers.

In a statement on Wednesday signed by its Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communications, Tayo Ajakaye, NAHCO revealed that it secured a five-year contract with Royal Air Maroc for cargo freighter and warehousing services in Lagos and Abuja.

The agreement, which runs until November 2029, complements the airline’s existing comprehensive handling contract with NAHCO covering all other operations in Nigeria.

Kenya Airways also renewed its contract with NAHCO, extending their partnership for another five years.

According to NAHCO, the renewed agreement covers both passenger and cargo operations within Nigeria, including any additional routes the airline may introduce during the period.

Dornier Aviation signed a three-year contract with NAHCO for passenger handling services across key Nigerian airports, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Osubi, among others.

Meanwhile, a new domestic carrier, Enugu Air, also chose NAHCO to manage its ground operations nationwide.

The five-year agreement includes full passenger flight handling across all Nigerian airports.

Additionally, Cronos Airline renewed its partnership with NAHCO for another three years. The deal covers passenger services in Lagos and Port Harcourt.

NAHCO said these contracts, both new and renewed, signal continued confidence in the company’s capabilities and reflect a trend of carriers, regional, domestic, and international, opting for the company’s comprehensive aviation solutions.

Earlier this year, NAHCO announced similar agreements with regional airlines Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone, strengthening its footprint in West Africa’s aviation sector.

Speaking on the developments, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Saheed Lasisi, expressed satisfaction with the new contracts, saying, “This is truly very good for NAHCO and the airlines we have signed these contracts with. When the client’s aircraft is on the ground, there is just one company that can take care of its operations like her very own NAHCO.”

Group Managing Director, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, described the new deals as a “positive indicator for the company’s future growth,” emphasizing NAHCO’s commitment to continuous improvement and service delivery.
