Voting has commenced at the 2025 Lagos APC local government election primaries as early as 7.30 am, delegates arrived at the APC Secretariat as early as 7.30 am amidst a heavy presence of security personnel, including the CP Lagos, Moshood Jimoh, overseeing and ensuring things go right.
Over 1,500 delegates are taking part in a consensus to elect 57 local government chairmanship positions.
Over 450 aspirants are jostling for the 57 seats after accreditation, ward delegates from each ward lined up LG by LG to officially elect their preferred aspirant, who will now emerge as a candidate.
The deputy governor of Lagos state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, is also at the primaries to monitor the exercise.
The chairman of Lasiec leads a delegation to monitor the exercise.
