President Tinubu visits survivors of Yelewata attack in hospital

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday visited the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) in Makurdi to offer condolences and support to survivors of the recent armed herdsmen attack in Yelewata community, located in Guma Local Government Area.

Arriving at the Nigeria Air Force Base Airport in Makurdi at approximately 12:58 pm, the President was warmly received by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

Also present to welcome the President were the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, along with federal lawmakers representing Benue State, among other dignitaries.

Following his visit to the victims at the hospital, President Tinubu proceeded to the Benue State Government House, where he is slated to engage in a town hall meeting with key stakeholders. This gathering aims to foster dialogue and develop sustainable solutions to the persistent challenge of armed herdsmen attacks that have plagued the state for years.
