The Federal Government has announced that more than 420 federal roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects have either been completed or reached advanced stages under President Bola Tinubu’s administration within the first two years in office.

This disclosure was made by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, Senator Barinada Mpigi, through his representative Ashley Emenike, during a goodwill message at the opening of the 33rd Engineering Assembly held on Tuesday in Abuja. The event was organized by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

Themed “Advancing Quality Engineering Services and Businesses in Nigeria: Professionalism, Compliance and Remunerations,” the annual gathering brought together professionals nationwide to discuss engineering ethics, infrastructure standards, and national development.

Senator Mpigi commended engineers as key players in Nigeria’s progress, emphasizing that their contributions are vital to the nation’s economic growth, infrastructure development, and industrial progress. He further asserted that Nigerian engineers are not just technical professionals but essential nation builders who should play a significant role in policy formulation.
