President Bola Tinubu visited Kano State on Friday to offer condolences to the family of the late businessman and philanthropist, Aminu Dantata, who passed away in June.
His aircraft arrived at Aminu Kano International Airport around 3 p.m., where he was received by a delegation that included representatives of Governor Abba Yusuf and other state officials.
Ahead of the visit, the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, had announced that the President would be in the North-West state to sympathize with both the Dantata family and the people of Kano over the elder statesman’s passing.
President Tinubu had earlier described Dantata’s death as a significant loss, noting that the renowned businessman had positively impacted the lives of many Nigerians.
