In a surprising crossover between the music and football worlds, Swansea City has announced that legendary rapper Snoop Dogg is now a co-owner of the Championship club.
The 53-year-old American artist, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, joins forces with Croatian football star and former Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić in the club’s evolving ownership group.
Snoop Dogg’s involvement was teased last week when he appeared on Swansea’s social media platforms, modeling the team’s new home kit for the 2025–26 season. The club confirmed on Thursday that he has officially become an investor.
His entry into football ownership follows the club’s takeover last November by American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen.
With over 100 million social media followers, Snoop Dogg is expected to significantly raise Swansea’s global profile as they aim to return to the Premier League for the first time since their relegation in 2018.
The club’s current owners have emphasized their goal of boosting revenue in order to invest more in the squad, while remaining compliant with British football’s profit and sustainability regulations.
