The Federal Ministry of Education and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have urged the public to disregard false reports claiming that the 2025 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE) have been cancelled and the results nullified.
Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations at the ministry, described the viral claim as fake news, stressing that the exams conducted by WAEC were valid and results will be released as scheduled.
WAEC’s spokesperson, Moyo Adesina, also confirmed that marking has been concluded and results will be out on or before August 4, 2025.
