Oleksandr Usyk became the undisputed heavyweight world champion on Saturday night with a dominant fifth-round knockout victory over Daniel Dubois at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The Ukrainian star, now 38, extended his undefeated record to 24 professional bouts. Already holding the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles, Usyk added Dubois’ IBF belt to unify all four major heavyweight championships.
Usyk sealed the win early in the fifth round, dropping the 27-year-old Briton with a signature left hook just 1 minute and 52 seconds in — a shot Dubois couldn’t recover from.
“38 is a young guy, remember!” Usyk joked in the ring, after celebrating on his knees in front of a roaring crowd.
