FG Sets 30-Day Deadline to Fix Damaged Keffi Flyover

The Federal Government has given a 30-day emergency deadline to repair the Keffi flyover in Nasarawa State, which was damaged after an overloaded truck carrying an excavator struck the structure.

Minister of Works, David Umahi, who inspected the site on Sunday, said the incident—caused by a trailer collision on July 17, 2025—led to the collapse of one beam and serious damage to two others. The crash also claimed two lives and left two others injured.

According to a statement by Mohammed Ahmed, Director of Press and Public Relations, a portion of the bridge has been shut for safety, while the underpass has now been cleared. Repairs will commence immediately to meet the 30-day restoration timeline.
