Alozie’s Late Goal Sends Super Falcons to WAFCON Final

Nigeria’s Super Falcons clinched a spot in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) final in Morocco with a dramatic 2-1 victory over South Africa, thanks to a last-minute strike from defender Mitchel Alozie.

With the semifinal clash poised to head into extra time, Alozie delivered a long ball into the South African penalty area. The ball evaded both defenders and the goalkeeper, unexpectedly finding the back of the net and leaving the Banyana Banyana stunned.

The late goal sealed a hard-fought win for Nigeria and capped off an intense and evenly matched contest.
