Nurses Suspend Strike After Meeting With FG

The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has suspended its warning strike, according to Minister of Health, Ali Pate.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting on Friday, Pate said the decision followed agreements reached with the union’s leadership.

NANNM had embarked on the industrial action on July 29, 2025, citing the Federal Government’s failure to address demands outlined in a 15-day ultimatum issued on July 14.

Union leaders declined to comment after the meeting.
