Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has officially requested a transfer from Atalanta, accusing the Serie A club of failing to honour prior agreements and treating him unfairly.
In a statement shared via Instagram on Sunday, Lookman expressed disappointment that Atalanta is blocking a transfer, despite receiving an offer he claims aligns with previous discussions.
“After many months of broken promises and poor treatment, I feel I have no choice but to speak out,” he wrote. “I’ve remained loyal, but enough is enough. I’ve now submitted a formal transfer request.”
Lookman, who joined the club in 2022, played a crucial role in Atalanta’s recent UEFA Europa League success.
