The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has strongly advised the public to dismiss a viral message claiming that results from certain schools have been cancelled.
In a brief statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the council labeled the message as fraudulent and part of a larger scam.
WAEC stated: “Please disregard any message listing schools with allegedly cancelled results. WAEC does not request any centre to submit candidates’ scripts. How would they even obtain them?” “Only trust updates shared through our verified social media accounts and accredited media outlets.”
