Customs Seize N10bn Worth of Arms, Drugs at Lagos Port

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted 16 containers filled with contraband, including firearms, ammunition, military gear, and fake drugs, with an estimated value of N10 billion at the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa.

Addressing the media, Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi disclosed that among the seized items were two pump-action rifles, 25 rounds of ammunition, and 202 cans of Colorado Loud — a potent Canadian strain of cannabis — all hidden in a 40-foot container marked MRSU6407089.

The container was reportedly consigned to one Mr. Babatunde Ogidiolu of a Lagos-based address.
