APGA’s Ifeoma Azikiwe Wins Onitsha North 1 By-Election

Ifeoma Azikiwe, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has won the Onitsha North 1 State Constituency by-election.

The result was declared by the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Ibiam Ekpe of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Azikiwe secured 7,774 votes, defeating her closest rival, Justice Azuka of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who polled 1,909 votes.

Other candidates included Ezennia Ojekwe of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 1,371 votes, and Njideka Ndiwe of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who got 655 votes.
