The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State has rejected the outcome of the Tsanyawa/Ghari State Constituency re-run election conducted by INEC.
At a press briefing on Sunday, NNPP State Chairman, Hashimu Dungurawa, accused INEC of manipulation and disenfranchisement, despite what he described as a peaceful re-run in the affected 10 polling units.
Dungurawa claimed that instead of announcing results at the constituency collation centre, INEC declared the outcome from its state headquarters, allowing room for “manipulation” that resulted in the APC candidate being declared winner.
Meanwhile, the NNPP hailed the conduct and outcome of the Shanono/Bagwai by-election, where its candidate emerged victorious, praising both party supporters and the electorate for their overwhelming support.
