Russian strikes kill 14 in Ukraine ahead of Trump-Zelensky talks

Russian attacks across Ukraine, including a deadly drone strike on an apartment block in Kharkiv, have killed 14 people, just hours before planned talks in Washington between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump.

The early-morning strike reduced part of a five-storey residential building to rubble, with fires erupting on multiple floors, according to Governor Oleg Synegubov.

Interior Minister Igor Klymenko confirmed that seven civilians, including two children, died in the Kharkiv attack, with 23 others injured.

Kharkiv was also hit earlier by a ballistic missile, wounding at least 11 people, said Mayor Igor Terekhov.
