Alaba Arogunmolase, former PDP chairman in Akoko North-West, Ondo State, along with prominent Labour Party leaders, officially joined the APC on Monday.
Notable defectors include Chiefs Odeja, Giwa, Bolaji, Ojo Akinniyi, Prince Adeniyi Olanipekun, and all PDP ward chairmen in Akoko North-West.
They cited President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and Interior Minister Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’s grassroots efforts as key reasons for the switch.
At the defection rally in Oke Agbe-Akoko, the defectors praised Dr. Tunji-Ojo for his impactful work in Akoko land.
Ondo APC Chairman Engr. Ade Adetimehin welcomed them, promising equal rights and privileges in the party. State officials and local leaders were also present to receive the new members.
