The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoned its 2027 presidential ticket to the South, while the party’s national chairmanship remains in the North.
This decision was reached during the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja.
The NEC also confirmed Umar Damagum as the party’s substantive National Chairman. Damagum has been serving in an acting capacity since March 2023 following the suspension of Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
