
Flash floods in Yobe State have left at least seven people dead and displaced over 4,521 households across several communities.
The Executive Secretary of SEMA, Mohammed Goje, said the August 15 disaster in Potiskum LGA alone affected 21 settlements and over 12,000 individuals. Emergency response efforts — including feeding, shelter, and medical support — were activated within hours.
Many homes, made of mud, were heavily damaged, but affected families have begun receiving relief materials and reintegration support.
