NSA reunites 128 rescued Kidnap Victims with families in Abuja

The National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has handed over 128 kidnapped victims—mostly women and children—rescued from Zamfara State, back to their families in Abuja.

The victims were freed during two separate operations by security forces in Kaura Namoda. Ribadu confirmed that they will undergo trauma care and be supported to reintegrate into their communities.

He praised the efforts of security personnel and assured that those behind the abductions will be tracked and brought to justice.

“Let us take politics out of security challenges,” Ribadu warned.

Meanwhile, Major General Adamu Laka, National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre, revealed that one of the rescued children died from illness, while a premature baby delivered during the operation is currently receiving care in an incubator.
