The Kebbi State Police Command has disbursed a total of ₦16,945,238.34 to the families of 25 police officers who lost their lives while on active duty.
The financial support, provided under the Group Life Assurance Scheme and the Inspector General of Police Family Welfare Scheme, was presented during a brief ceremony held at the Command Headquarters on Tuesday.
Commissioner of Police, Bello M. Sani, handed over the cheques to the beneficiaries, describing the gesture as a reflection of the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to honouring and supporting the families of fallen heroes.
He noted that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ease the burden of bereaved families and reaffirmed the commitment of the police leadership to the welfare of its personnel and their loved ones.
