The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a 3-day weather forecast predicting thunderstorms and moderate rainfall across the country from Monday to Wednesday.
Highlights:
- North: Morning thunderstorms expected in Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Borno, Yobe, and Gombe. Widespread storms in the afternoon across the northeast and northwest.
- Central: Light rains in the mornings (Plateau, Niger), followed by moderate thunderstorms in FCT, Nasarawa, Benue, and Kogi.
- South: Cloudy mornings with light showers in Cross River and Akwa Ibom. Afternoon rains expected in Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, and others.
NiMet advises the public to take necessary precautions against strong winds, potential flooding, and travel disruptions.
