Panic gripped the Iyana-Isolo axis of Lagos on Sunday after a fully loaded tanker lost control, collided with a commercial bus, and exploded in flames.
Eyewitnesses say the tanker veered off the Apapa–Oshodi Expressway, overturned into a roadside gutter, and burst into flames, consuming nearby vehicles including a container trailer.
Two people were reportedly injured in the incident, while emergency responders raced to the scene to contain the fire.
The incident caused major gridlock as terrified commuters fled the area.
