The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a total revenue collection of N3.6 trillion between January and June 2025.
This was disclosed by the NCS National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, in a statement released after the 63rd regular meeting of the Customs Board, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun.
Maiwada noted that the figure exceeded the projected revenue for the period by N390 billion, representing a 11.85% increase — a performance described as “remarkable.”
Earlier in the year, the Senate Committee on Customs had raised the NCS’s 2025 revenue target from N6.584 trillion to N10 trillion, following the agency’s impressive performance in 2024.
The NCS attributed the success to strengthened revenue mobilisation efforts and enhanced operational capacity.
