The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced the appointment of Mr. Andy Odeh as Chief Corporate Communications Officer and Mrs. Morenike Adewunmi as Chief Relations Officer, effective immediately.
This move reflects the company’s renewed focus on strengthening public communication and stakeholder engagement.
Mr. Odeh brings over 30 years of experience in communications and business administration, including a 26-year career at Nigeria LNG Limited, where he led major rebranding efforts and community-driven initiatives like a micro-credit scheme for host communities.
Mrs. Adewunmi, a seasoned legal practitioner with 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, previously served as Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations Manager at Shell Companies in Nigeria.
Their appointments come two months after the exit of Olufemi Soneye, who resigned as Chief Corporate Communications Officer in June 2025.
NNPCL expects the new leadership to reinforce transparency, build stronger ties with host communities, and improve relations with regulators and international partners.
