Nigerian representative Godwin Awaji-Iroso Abiodun has clinched the Best Physique award at the preliminary round of the Mister Cosmopolitan 2025 competition, held at the MBK Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
Godwin, who earned his spot on the global stage after winning Misters of Nigeria 2025, celebrated the milestone on Facebook, writing:
“Best physique Cosmopolitan 2025 all the way from PH to Thailand.”
At the preliminaries, awards were also presented to contestants from other countries: a Filipino delegate won Best National Costume, while a Thai contestant took home Best Talent. Godwin was recognized for his performance in the swimwear segment, which secured him the Best Physique title.
Representing Nigeria in the national costume segment, Godwin donned an elaborate outfit titled “Omu Alabo – The Warlord”, inspired by King Agbanijike of Bille Kingdom in Rivers State. The ensemble, designed to showcase the heritage, resilience, and warrior spirit of the Niger Delta people, added a powerful cultural dimension to his appearance.
Godwin is also known for his achievements as a creative designer and as Mr Rivers State University 2023/2024.
