The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed claims that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed and released a list of its state chairmen nationwide.
In a statement shared on Sunday by the party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described the reports circulating in some media outlets as false and misleading, stressing that INEC has issued no such confirmation, either formally or informally.
Abdullahi labeled the publication as “fake news” aimed at sowing confusion within the party and clarified that state leadership ratification remains an internal party affair guided by its constitution.
He added that INEC only acknowledges leadership lists submitted through proper party channels after following due process.
