Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has once again made history, officially setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, weighing 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz).
The milestone was achieved in partnership with food brand Gino during a public event held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, and was formally confirmed by Guinness World Records (GWR) on Monday.
GWR announced the feat on its official X handle, stating:
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬.”
Hilda, who gained international recognition in 2023 with her cook-a-thon world record, continues to elevate Nigerian cuisine on the global stage with this latest culinary triumph.
Thousands of spectators, including celebrities, food enthusiasts, and influencers, gathered to witness the event live — a celebration of food, culture, and national pride.
